We are currently hiring for a Plumbing Project Manager in the Columbia, SC area. The job is a full-time direct hire position.

Job Related Duties:
Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
Review the project schedule with management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
Execute the project according to the project plan
Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project within the specified timeframe and budget
Participate in formal hand-off meetings with Chief Estimator and Purchasing on newly awarded /contracted projects being added to current backlog
Conduct hand-off meetings to Foremen reviewing blueprints, specifications, materials, equipment, budgets, schedules and manpower
Visit ALL assigned project job sites on a weekly basis (minimum) to document progress, materials, workers
Review all projects and ensure all critical milestones are tracking to completion by documented deadlines. This may entail additional work site visits and adjusting resources.
Provide project status updates to the president on a weekly basis
Ensure all Change Orders have been executed
Holds the foreman and crew accountable to keep job sites clean, clear, and safe of debris

Qualifications:
At least Five (5) years of experience as a Plumbing Project Manager
Degree in construction related field or engineering
Strong administrative, computer (MS Office) and communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate and present information to external clients/audiences.
Demonstrated supervisory/management skills and ability to motivate/manage team(s).
Experience with project management software such as Viewpoint/Timberline
Safety training
Estimating training and experience pricing and justifying change order proposals
Capable of reading blueprints and specs
